Born and raised here and grew up eating at Billy Boys. The Scott’s need to make a change. The ribs are hit and miss and the okra is commercially produced. Really? Every southern gentlemen knows good okra isn’t rolled in a cheap tempura batter. The price of everything is outrageous and the french fries are always overcooked. You should have stayed across the street, the food was much better back then.
Best in town. Let’s be honest, Shawnee is a GREAT place for BBQ. Billy Boy, Van’s, Robb’s – all have something great to offer. But if you have someone in your party who wants something other than BBQ, you have to go to Billy Boy. BBQ is terrific and they also have the best burger in town, a great chicken breast sandwich and awesome salads. No, I don’t work there! You’ll have a hard time finding a bad BBQ joint in Shawnee and this one is the cream of a very impressive crop.
Billy-Boy Bad-B-Que. 2-13-2014 I took my wife to dinner tonight to Billy Boys in Shawnee, This was our first and last time to eat there. The brisket, two ribs and one hot link that were included with the 14.99 FULL DINNER were way overpriced. The brisket was dry and sliced thinner than a piece of lunchmeat. The BBQ flavor and or taste was nonexistent. P S My two dogs happy to get full meat ribs and not just the bones.
I have been all around the world and I have never eaten food as mouth wateringly wonderful as y’all’s and the best steak of my life was at Paul’s Place ~ thank you Kelly !!! Have To go eats Bly boy bad ass ribs now!!!
Worst BBQ in Shawnee. The pork was finely chopped mush with no taste. This is not BBQ.
Great bbq, great prices, and great service. The pulled pork sandwich is to die. Also the chicken basket is very good.
Friendly Service and Yummy Food. Extremely friendly service. They are always very helpful if you walk in with a big group and very patient if you are trying to figure out what you want. The food is absolutely delish. It’s become kind of a family tradition to go there and I have never left with food on my plate still (or in my basket) and always leave with a full belly! I would definitely recommend it!
