If you have food allergies…. The thing I really love about McAlister’s is they have a book (you have to ask for it) showing the ingredients for every single thing on the menu, from the tomato sauce to the breads. Considering that in a family of 4, we have 7 common ingredients we have to avoid, not counting derivatives, trying to find a place we can all eat safely is a challenge, and McAlister’s is one of only 3 places in Stillwater where all 4 of us can eat. And I adore the Savannah Chopped Salad.
Over rated. For some reason everyone thinks this is a really grate place to eat. The soups are not fresh and come in big frozen bags and are defrosted then served. The potatoes are ok…. But Panera Bread is right down the street, and the food is much more original and fresh. Also, McAlister’s is WAY overpriced. If you like sweet tea I suppose it is worth a stop, people seem to be crazy about that…. even though it is simply Lipton iced tea with literally an entire pitcher full of sugar stirred in! : SI think a lot of people think that the Iced Tea is a better alternative to pop, but it’s not.
