Lunch at Ranchers Club 2.4.2015. Third time dining in for lunch. First two times were perfect. Food and speed of service was great. Place very busy. Today’s visit was disappointing. Service, while friendly with all smiles was very slow. I ordered the Vegas steak that everyone raved about. On the surface, it looked to be a winner. I ordered it medium and it came out hemorrhaging. Almost sent back but did not. Wanted to bring my wife there for our anniversary but have decided to go to OKC instead. Very sad. Everyone is entitled to an off day so I’ll return but it will be sometime down the road.
Well I went back to eat at the Ranchers Club and I must say that things are much better. The service has improved so much, the hostess was very welcoming, our server was knowledgable about the menu, about the Oklahoma local meats and produce which the chef uses and about the restaurant’s rich tradition. They are only open for lunch but are planning to open for dinner in 2013. The menu was traditional yet has twist. My friend got the Salmon BLT and it looked awesome. I had the Fall Cobb salad and it was pleasing to taste and appearance. The didn’t have any special this day but our server mentioned that they make most of the items in-house including fresh pasta. Who does that in Stillwater? Their dinner rolls and that bread pudding…OMG!!!The manager was on the floor and checked on us as well. Thank fully it is not a student run restaurant like the other reviewer said. The service, food and ambiance was impeccable. The host even held the door for us while leaving. I had a great time and in all it costed me about $12 to eat lunch here. I am going back for sure!!!
Service was horrible. Menu was horrible. Prices were horrible. Waited nearly 2 hours to get our food. Worst restaurant experience.
Worst run restaurant. I have never been treated so poorly by a restaurant. I tried for over a week to make reservations despite their webpage stating a response time of less than 24 hours. It’s a student run restaurant with no manager or anyone with restaurant experience to be found. I would strongly recommend going to another establishment.
Rancers Club great food. Great Food, friendly service and nice atmosphere. We all ordered something different, the prime filet, the lamb, and a ribeye. Everything was tasty and cooked properly – we ordered medium rare. I would really recommend the filet. The vegetable of the day was asparagus and it was delicious as well.
Environment is very nice. A little pricy for the portions. Food is very good, minus the steak. Ordered a sirloin medium rare, and it came out raw. The outside was cooked, and the inside was still raw.
The best asparagus I have ever had.
