Seems their focus is catering now. At least that’s the impression I got by the sign on the door. Why would a well established restaurant turn people away?
Disapointment. You know, when I got my bill last night, I thought the charge of $4.99 for a side salad and $4.99 was odd because I thought there was a soup and salad deal on the menu. I should have said something then, but my dinner partner was ready to go and I was also ready to leave. Just have your servers pay attention to what the bill says before they bring it to the table. Also, the soup was luke warm and the meatballs were less than delicious. I’ve been eating at Caffe Pranzo since 1996 but was disappointed at this outing.

Awful. Had dinner there tonight! The new ownership shows no lack of desire to keep the restaurant with the quality of food it once had! Will never go back and will not recommend to anyone! Such a shame!
Very disappointing service…food ok. I visited Caffe’ Pranzo for the first time with 7 ladies to enjoy a birthday celebration. Our server greeted us with mumbling that he was the only server that evening and how many more guests would be with us. Very slow dining experience. The server was rude and did not provide service. We waited approximately 10 minutes to order drinks and appetizers. We asked about complimentary bread based on the amount of appetizers we ordered but never received it. We then ordered entrees 10 minutes later, the server was very annoyed when we asked about specialties and recommendations. Our entrees didn’t take too long to arrive. The server didn’t revisit the table for approximately 30 minutes. We saw a pitcher of water sitting aside and refilled our own drinks. We asked again for bread and did not receive it. After our meal and waiting for checks, we asked about wine price being different than menu listing. He was rude saying that he can’t change anything about pricing or what the computer does, which is understandable. After paying our bills, the owner visited and apologized but made no effort or offers to make our experience better or entice us to dine at this restaurant again.
Really awesome italian food!. Only thing I don’t like is the ravioli (not enough)!!! GREAT FARE! Somewhat slow service though.Prepare to eat like you’re in Europe and your waiter will eventually get to you. Nice intimate date night!!
My wife and I have enjoyed dinner at Caff Pranzo off and on for the last 7 years. We stopped going after a terrible experience with a server named Joe in April 2014. Joe knew that we were ‘regulars’ at Caff Pranzo. On this particular evening he started bad mouthing the new owner and a woman server,that has waited on us before, we believe her name is spelled Danea (lovely young lady she has always given us great service). His conversation with us, his poor service and smell of cigarettes we decided not to come back! But my wife and I decided to give Pranzo another try, after a 3 month hiatus. We had dinner there this past weekend. The irony,our server was Danea!! She has waited on us a few times in the past and my wife and I will say our experience was 1,000 times better than the last time we were at Caff Pranzo in April! We didn’t ask, at first, but we didn’t see Joe. He was the main reason we stayed away for so long. Maybe he is gone?? There was definitely something different….everyone seemed happy and upbeat! Our dinner and dessert was outstanding! But honestly we will be back because our server Danea (hope this is spelled right) she was phenomenal. She remembered that we have 2 boys and she asked about them. She remembered that our garage had a fire and asked about ghat! She was friendly and attentive. …but not too attentive (wasn’t checking on us every 5 sec, which was great), she was funny and professional. We did finally asked her about Joe. She simply replied,’I believe he moved on to another restaurant.’ We told her what an awful experience we had last time and her response, ‘I’m sorry to hear that. Well I’m thankful you gave us one more chance.’ When Danea walked away I told my wife that I was glad we gave Caff Pranzo another chance. The food was excellent, Danea is amazing! It is hard to find outstanding servers anymore, ones that make your experience better. She is one of those!! We are hoping that they take reservations for a specific server!?? Does anyone know? We want her to serve us on our anniversary date in a few weeks. We had a fabulous experience. We will be back in about a month for anniversary. We hope Danea and the delicious cheesecake will be there!!!
