Dropped in for lunch yesterday. Always a good decision when I head into John’s. Nothing like a good old fashioned chili hamburger, like mom used to make.This place was around when I was a much younger man. Back before the world went insane, and all these kids started wearing those fancy haircuts and tight clothes and what not. Wish I could go back in time a lot. Now every time I’m in public, just want to lash out at most folks.Oh well.Thanks for reminding me that some things never change, Johnnie. Ya’ll have a good weekend now.
Seriously?. Where’s the charcoal?
I have ate Johnnies literally my whole life And it will always have a special place in my heart….i was lucky enough to eat here with my grandpa the day before he passed away….I always get the #9…ok ok.. the double #9. They also have great homemade pies and pretty awesome milkshakes. There are other places to get a great burger in okc but everyone should try the Johnnies theta burger at least once.
Used to have great burgers, but not today. No charcoal taste at all. Fries and onion rings still good. Same old unfriendly service, though. The people taking orders at this one, on Britton, and the one on NW Expressway are always unfriendly. Express on May are friendly.
A classic. You can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a traditional burger and fries, and they have even better cream pies!
My favorite restaurant in OKC for 26 years! Try the ceasar burger & onion rings, it’ll be the best decision you ever make!
Family Favorite!. When our family wants to get together (regardless of how many of us there are) we always choose Johnnie’s! It is our favorite go to restaurant! The food never disappoints us. My personal favorite is the #9 – Theta with Cheese – yum! Gotta have the onion rings with it. My husbands favorite is the #8. The tea is always sparkling clear and pleasing. The kids are always happy from the grilled cheese, to the kids frankfurter meals. To complete the experience, I must share a piece of coconut cream pie ~ delicious! How blessed we are in OKC to have a treasure like Johnnie’s.
