I have eaten a lot of steaks and live in Houston TX but the flavor and texture of the bone-in ribeye was incredible! I plan to go back! We celebrated our sons 25th and dulce de leche was awesome!
Spent 11th year anniversary dinner here. I started this whole thing off with their website assisted reservation systemvia OpenTable. Process was simple. Updates available via email and app. Strange that Ranch didn’t call to confirm receipt of reservation. For beverages, my wife had a Stella and I had Coop’s F4 brew. We also opted in for the night’s special appetizer offering: which was some kind of shrimp dish -I couldn’t really tell you what it was. (more on that later). This was basically shrimp served on spinach, arugula and kale along with a spicy Asian chili sauce. Both the wife and I decided on the 14oz ribeye, medium rare (pink to red and cool center -cooked to perfection). We both opted in toppings. The wife went the Cabernet Mushroom Sauce and selected the Garlic Butter Compound. Unfortunately for me, my steak was served with the compound already added. I would have rather seen my $60 steak in all it’s glory. My wife’s steak was drowning in her cab/shroom sauce to the point I could not tell if it was a steak -but the sauce was truly amazing and rich. Originally, we told by friends totry the Truffle compound butter -but I couldn’t bring myself to spend another$5 for a topping. I totally get that some of the toppings are going to be charge worthy -but not a simple garlic butter compound (but that is a personal preference). We also shared the family-sized garlic mashed potatoes. I wasn’t a fan and have hadbetter. I loved that our steaks were served on 400 degree plate. Nice touch there. The ambiance was low-lit and just a tad noisy for my liking. It reminded me of a ultra-upscale Cattleman’s -or what they could be.I think the biggest reason behind my 4.0 rating wasn’t the food, location or ambiance. It was the service. our waiter seemed disinterested in us being there. Specials were rattled off so fast -I had to ask for him to repeat them -plus the environmental noise to boot. I think maybe his attention was more geared toward the party of 8 ordering Kobe and Wagyu selections from the evening specials. I simply felt like the servers were more attentive than the waiter. Our total tab for 2 drinks, 2 steaks(+2 toppings), 1 appetizer, 2 roles and 1 family side plus tip was $230.
