Unimpressed by the Hype. Honestly, I’ve heard people rave about this place for a long time and I expected better. For my first Chipotle burrito, I went with cheese instead of sour cream, which was a huge mistake since I never tasted any cheese whatsoever. I also tried the medium salsa, not wanting it to be too spicy, but never tasted a single bite that I’d describe as spicy at all, which surprised and disappointed me. I wanted some heat after all. However, the main complaint I have is that the burrito’s flavors are all over the place as you eat it. Certain bites are fine, but others are overwhelmed by stronger tastes, such as raw onion or a spice I couldn’t identify that was overall unpleasant. Because the restaurant operates like an assembly line where you pick each item individually, all of the options are cooked independently and have no chance to meld together properly; it’s a very hap-hazard taste profile. Perhaps cooking the chosen ingredients for a few minutes would allow them to mix better, though I don’t know how long that would take for them to blend together. Because all the servers did was assemble the food Subway-style I feel like the price is a bit high as well. This is amplified by the fact that despite being such a fat burrito there really isn’t much meat in it, which reminds me of exactly how Subway operates; they’re happy to give you several condiments/toppings for your order, but are skimpy on the main portion of it. For the money I could go to a dine-in Mexican restaurant, order a chicken burrito (with more consistent flavors) smothered in cheese (that I could taste no problem) with rice and beans on the side, and get complimentary chips and salsa (which in most Mexican restaurants I’ve been to are endless). I think this place is like Starbucks; an over-hyped product you can get just as cheap with a similar quality (or better) elsewhere.

I dont like it, they give u a very small portion of meat with a ton of fixings. If I wanted a salad l wouldve ordered one. The place is really bland and simplistic, I wont be back.
It’s as advertised… Fresh and simple. I got a chicken burrito and my wife got the chicken bowl. We both really liked it but agreed we’d splurge for the guacamole next time, it’s kinda dry without it. It is a lot of food for the money. I wouldn’t eat here for lunch, it’s just too much food for lunch. We’ll go back.
So good…I can’t breathe…. Better than Qdoba. Chipotle has flavor and is priced correctly for the amount of good food bought. Try it!
