Great Coffee….not much else.. This place is great for a coffee purist; excellent espresso. But really not much more than that. I love to stop in for a latte or doubleshot, but I usually leave shortly after. Their hours are very unaccommodating. The internet is incredibly slow and glitchy, so don’t come here expecting to get much work done..which is a shame. The environment is excellent for clear thinking. It’s hip, yet still uncluttered and clean. The music is pleasant, but not distracting. If the hours were better and the internet was sufficient, this place would get my every paycheck. Another negative, the menu is extremely limited, which I understand-this isn’t Starbucks…but the fact that I can’t get a traditional macchiato, I find strange (unless for some reason the barista thought I was asking for a sbux drink). Also, you cant get a bottle of water, nor a cup of ice water.
Best coffee in town! From the first cup I was hooked, such a difference from other coffee shops. Now that I’ve had such quality complex coffee I find it hard enjoying it anywhere else.
Go for the coffee, not the amenities. If you like ‘real’ fresh roasted coffee, then you owe it to yourself to get your favorite drink from here. These guys are serious about their coffee. This is probably the best coffee within 500 miles. What you will not find here is art, an abundance of power strips, starbucks flavorings, or a quiet AC unit. Half the time the wireless router is slower than a 300 baud modem (so make sure your phone has tethering). Despite all that I am still a regular here.
Best coffee in the state.
I thought all coffee came with sugar and a flavor. DoubleShot saved me and I have been born again. Like wine, the world of coffee has just as much breadth and depth of flavor, but you will only experience that at Doubleshot. A must stop when flying over T-Town.
The Best coffee & now serious baked goods. DS has had the best coffee in town since they got going. A little more than a year ago, they expanded to a retail side and a roasting side. They have plenty of space to accommodate the usually brisk morning business. Their espresso is perfectly balanced, and makes a beautiful, rich complex latte. No syrup required! (though i sometimes cheat mine with a little vanilla added). Their roasted coffee is habit-forming. After a year of drinking / brewing it, you’ll notice and understand the digs on Starbucks roasting.Very recently this year they have overhauled their baked goods menu. They now have a young lady that bakes a bunch of choices–muffins, coffee cake, cookies, quiche, etc. The new baked goods crush it. Try the blueberry muffin (with a cinnamon flaky crust) paired with a cup of drip coffee.
Slow Down and smell the coffee. Fantastic coffee. These guys take their coffee seriously and bust their tails to give you a great product. Slow down, have a pour over and enjoy some of their baked goods. A great coffee house.
