Delicious.. You’re not going for the looks or the atmosphere–simply delicious food. Gryo meat, hummus, tzatziki, pita, the salad with tasty dressing and generous amount of feta = Yum-O!
We were searching for some good gyros and decided to try this place. Very disappointed. The gyro was smothered in a cheese of sorts. Not the cucumber sauce they normally have. There was so much of it that it overpowered the taste of the whole gyro. Then for the baklava. It was bad. Took one bite and that was it. It was dry and floury. Will not go back.
I ordered a #3 platter, 2 waters, and a side of hummus for $12. They were out of tabouli and baklava. The meat was good, the salad and tzatziki weren’t bad, but the pita bread was chewy and a little tough. This wasn’t a terrible place to eat, but there are better gyros joints in Tulsa for sure.
The first time I remember I’ve went to gyros palce was 2 years ago. The food is amazing! I have to say. These Gyros are Spectacular! best gyros I have ever tasted! Dip the falafel in hommus and you have heaven! Y’all should stuff a burger in yo mouth and think twice! 🙂
I tried Gyros Palace for the first time this week and was so surprised. Not expecting too much based on reviews and the outside but the gyros was delicious and the greek salad was generous and made very well. I cannot wait to go back!!
Not Sure If Service Was Typical. I stopped in during a weekday for a quick lunch. Unfortunately for me, there were a few customers in the place and only one employee. Even though he was hustling and tried to make my visit enjoyable, it took me 25 minutes after ordering to get served a Gyro and side of Hummus. And the place was a bit dirty (table tops, floor, and trash can). The Gyro was fairly good and a great value for the money. The Hummus too was good, but maybe a bit on the bland side.I will have to make a return visit to see if it is always a one-man-show with slow service, or maybe that was an anomaly. The valiant one man effort and decent food makes the Gyros Palace worth another try.
Other Than Low Prices, What’s Good About This Place?. The food was just okay. It’s certainly not the best gyros I’ve ever had and it’s not the worst. It’s mostly extraordinarily average. Probably because it’s the same Kronos brand gyros meat that almost every tiny Greek Gyros shop sells.I did see the owner take cash from a customer, then go just rinse his hands (no soap) and start preparing food. From my food service days, I know that’s a food safety violation. The prices are low, so perhaps that’s the big draw here.As for looks, the restaurant is sort of what you would expect of a privately owned strip mall restaurant in this part of town. It’s not dirty, but it’s certainly not going to win any awards for upkeep or decor.
