  TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. This place was absolutely terrible…I never had the chance to taste the food so.that part may be good. We were escorted out right after he told us no I don’t take credit cards I haven’t had a phone since 1979. He is a VERY odd person. The only way I’d ever go back is with a big group just to try the food. Maybe he wouldn’t be so intimidating with a large party? I don’t understand how he can stay open.

  Hungry ref. I am an NCAA football referee in tulsa for the opening game of the 2014 season and had heard to try this place. I have a friend that drives a tulsa city bus and was wanting to try JJ’s… so I decided to get her a burger and give it to as she passed by the restaurant. I went in and asked for a burger to go and was met by the owner in which he told me his burgers are 3 course meals and start at 20 bucks. As he was escorting out the door ..he then told me mcdonalds was right down the street… I will remember to tell other officials and team staff , while in tulsa advoid JJ’s . They are too high and mighty for out-of-towners..

  I was completely blown away and not in a good way. My mother and I were treated like they wanted us to leave the minute we stepped in there. At one point I had the menu taken out of my hand and was told to come back when we were hungrier. I work in the service industry. I have waited tables before and i have been a hairstylist for 15 years and would never treat anyone that way! So my advice is save your dignity and stay away from this place. With all the great restaurants in Tulsa and on cherry street you will have no problem finding gourmet food without being treated like trash.

  Eat here but know what to expect. – First of all, the owner is the only employee and he is an odd duck. Don’t be scared of him but he will say what he is thinking. – Next, he only makes 25 burgers a day. Once they’re gone he closes down. – He only takes CASH. – The meals cost $25 each. This includes the burger, a shrimp cocktail, AWESOME beans, chips, a dessert thing, and a really bad espresso.- He also has a VIP card. Not exactly sure of the purpose but if you have it he won’t refuse service to you.
