We live downtown and always wanted to try this restaurant out. We went in for lunch around 1pm on a Friday with only a few patrons dining and a couple of waitresses. We were immediately greeted and had the pick of the restaurant for a table. Once seated our drink orders were taken and received promptly. The waitress informed us she would give us a minute to look over the menus. After ten minutes she had not come back to the table. She was in the vicinity and had time to greet some people in the bar, watch some TV (which was in our area), talk to the other waitress, and go in and out of the service area (with no food or drink). I didn’t think we had to flag the waitress down like an ordinary diner. I left 2 dollars on the table for a tea we ordered and we walked out. To add insult to injury the other waitress informed us to have a nice day. My wife was so upset she went back in and took the 2 dollars off the table and looked directly at our waitress who was still casually talking to the other waitress. You can get better service at Denny’s! We ended up at Sushi Place and received suburb service and food. It’s better to eat at Prymes Steakhouse, Ti Amos’s, Casa Laredo, etc. than this restaurant. Actually any restaurant in downtown is better than Trula’s! It is a shame to have spent millions of dollars to renovate a jewel of a hotel and be tarnished by a subpar restaurant. The service was so lacking I can imagine what the food would have been. I am unable to recommend this restaurant since there are so many more options to choose from in downtown Tulsa.

SLOW lunch. Just got back from having lunch with a client and coworker at Trula. It took over 20 minutes for a salad and two sandwiches to arrive at our table. The restaurant wasn’t remotely busy – I believe we were one of three tables – so an influx of business couldn’t be the case that the food was slow to come out. Our waitress seemed bored… and maybe cold as she was sporting a hooded windbreaker. My Reuben was soggy and the meat crunchy (eek). My sweet potato fries, however, were great. My coworker’s Chop House Salad was missing avocado and the lettuce was extremely wilted and otherwise sad looking. Our client didn’t complain about her Club so I can’t speak on that. I was really disappointed in the service and food quality as I love the Mayo, the Rooftop Bar and hanging out in the area and had high hopes. My coworker and I decided that we won’t be back.

Busines Development. I took a group of clients to eat at Trula on a Monday night and all of us ordered either the Tuna or Salmon dishes. Both meals were perfect! Dusti was our waitress and she is one of the best servers in the business.

Mediocre AT BEST. As someone who has worked in the restaurant business, I will admit that Trula serves outstanding food. I have yet to order something that I did not like. Unfortunately, the poor service outweighs anything the menu offers. NOTE: Do not try to order anything from the restaurant or bar any time after 9:30, seeing as how this inconveniences the staff since both close at 10. Last time I checked, when you order food during business hours (dine in or out) at a restaurant, they cook it for you. Not at Trula! Enjoy.

Good place to go before a BOK concert. When I am going to a big concert at the BOK Center, I like to go downtown to beat the rush. Trula is a good place to gather and eat before the concert.
