My husband and I went for after dinner drinks on my birthday. Love this place and will be back with friends! Very cool, hipster, big city feel but not pretentious. Bartenders were knowledgeable and helpful, taking time to taylor drinks to your taste. Drinks were unique and delicious.
A friendly establishment where you always want to try new things. Valkyrie continues to serve expertly-crafted cocktails with friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere. The bartenders have always been patient as I ask about the ingredients and methods they use. On First Friday, it’s a great place to relax after visiting the galleries along Brady. Lately, they have done an excellent job keeping an updated ”seasonal” menu as well as an extensive list of classic drinks available.
Cool atmosphere, but mixed drinks aren’t very good and one of the bartenders is unfriendly.
Same as lmr263. I had the LITERALLY the exact same experience as lmr263… but I’m a 24 year old female. Don’t think it’s agism… think they are just awful. My drink was undrinkable. I tried to pawn it off to the group I was with and none of them would take it, so I brought it back up the bar. No help. Have been dragged twice since, but am refusing from now on. AWFUL.
An Escape Place. Aside from really really good Cocktails, Valkyrie is a favorite spot for me because of the friendly cheerful and informative service I receive there every time I visit.I am always comfortable inviting people to meet there and have friends coming in from Houston next Tuesday, December 17 and want them especially to experience Valkyrie.
Just a great, classy bar. The bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful. Most of their drinks are originals but they can make anything. They had about 20 great beers on tap as well. Highly recommend for business meetings, before dinner drinks, or just a good time.
Worst customer service I have ever had anywhere, its flat out terrible. The bartenders were just plain rude. If you want a great drink with and atmosphere to match try in the Brady try The Tavern or head over to Hodges Bend in the East Village.
