Fantastically cooked food. This place seems to garner mixed reviews. Me and some of my family visited this place recently, here’s my take on it!We got there for Sunday lunch. The place wasn’t deserted, but it was far from packed. The waitstaff were notably polite and helpful. We ordered the general tso’s chicken, pork belly ramen, and a caterpillar roll. Our food didn’t take very long to get out to us, but again, it wasn’t very busy at the time. My general tso’s was actually very good. It was subtly seasoned, and the chicken had a great char on it without being overcooked. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food I was given for a lunch portion. Despite the chilies, it had a very mild spice level. Taste-wise, I was pleased and will be returning.I tasted the pork belly ramen, and again was impressed. The pork was tender and very tasty, the broth was not exactly rich, but still had a good flavor without being overbearing, and the noodles seemed to be cooked well without being mushy. The caterpillar roll was good for the price, and I can’t really find anything WRONG with it, but I’d be lying if I said that it was the best in Tulsa. I would consider returning here for sushi during happy hour to try a few more rolls out, though.Overall, despite being a little pricey, I was very happy with the food, the service, and the portions. As you can see from my review history, I’ve been to many restaurants in Tulsa, and the rating for this place (66% at the time of writing) confuses me somewhat. I will be returning, and if my opinion changes, I will update this review to match.
I have no idea why on other reviews people are saying service is bad,, my husband and I have been going here for a while now and the service is always amaizing. This place is the bomb! Sushi is the best and I love sushi, the sushi here is fresh and yummy, don’t miss this place, even if you don’t like sushi there are other real good stuff on the menu…
Disappointed. Great app ..fluke …tried spicy octopus , had to ask for more spice, had the soft shell whole crab roll, sorry effort 4 spindles for leg , little filling ,little taste, had the south side roll, wow a pathetic effort , place has too much hype, many better place in a 3 mile radius, that has more Japenese flavor.
Nice server but took forever for food due to the kitchen being backed up and one meal was missed by the kitchen. Won’t go back
Best sushi in town. Love the downtown one and I’m so happy they have one I can visit all the time. The only problem is the service sucks. The hosts are oblivious, the drinks take FOREVER. And most of the servers don’t know the table numbers. Also be careful of ordering hot food with sushi as they haven’t gotten the timing down. The hot food will be cold by the time the sushi is done. I really hope they fix the problems fast and it stays open bc the sushi rocks!
Good food and atmosphere; Working out kinks in service. This is an immaculate and attractive new restaurant that offers a unique option in South Tulsa. We have been twice and enjoy the happy hour sushi specials. The food was great both times. Sushi rolls were tasty, though there are more authentic Japanese options in town. Entrees are Asian fusion cuisine – again, not the most authentic, but well prepared. Our service both times was a little slow. We got the feeling that they are still figuring out managing the staff at the new restaurant. We will keep being patient with the service as the management works out the kinks since it is affordable and good food in a comfortable atmosphere and a convenient location in the new shopping center.
Worst service ever
