At first glance. When i walked in i thought hmm it looks like a hole in the wall and i love the lil ma and pa places. The food was awsome the service was great the guy that owns and runs it was very nice to my whole family food came a little bit slow but was completely worth it.
Not many better. The place is situated in a small strip mall on MaCarthur, near 36th st. It is a small, nondescript cafe. The guy just moved in and has not had time to fix the place up yet. But let me tell you, the food is outstanding. The owner gives you plenty of food for the price. I have tried many places that make Gyro’s, his is by far the best. Try him out.
It’s ok. I was a little taken aback by the decor. The place needs tile for a cleaner feel. dirty furniture should go. But the booths and tables are clean fresh flowers. probably needs better venting. The air smelled of grease. The guy is super nice. food was great. portion sizes were big. … no complaints about the food. But I am not sure if I can come back. The smell was a bit much.
Sir Santa. The food is a 10. They always use fresh ingredients for vegies. The fries may be prepackaged but always come out just right. the meat is fresh carved from the spit for each order. and they always serve plenty. True the dcor is a bit to be desired, but his patrons are growing. Word of mouth is his only advertising and it seems to be slowly working. When I dine in, he seems to have a steady stream of to go orders. And not the same people all the time. The one drawback is he still does not take plastic. He says he eventually wants to though. 1 to 10 I give them an 8.
All of the other reviews are correct, it’s a dump, however the food is great. The portions are too big and everyone is very courteous and accommodating. Yes there’s Anglo kid (I assume is Brandon) he was only there the first time I happened in, all the other times it has been 1 of 2 other (Greek?) gentlemen. The food is great! The food is fresh! I suspect they buy the veggies everyday. The tomatoes are bright red, the cucumber sauce has huge chunks of cucumber in it. I always get it to go, I don’t dig using Kleenex for napkins. Do yourself a favor, if you don’t mind an adventure, and you catch them open, eat there. I say best Gyros in town. Take cash that’s the only downside.
Good food, prices and portion size. The place is a bit of a cluttered dive, but the food is great for a good price. I have eaten there 5 or 6 times. Another review didn’t see the Gyro spit the meat is carved from, but it is right there in the corner, and Gyro meat is always carved while I watch. The pre-packaged fries are good too.
Wash your hands! Get rid of the clutter. The food was ok. The place was clean. I won’t go back. Why?
