I dont go out of my way to write bad reviews but this one cant be passed over. It cost my family of 4 about $50 to eat dinner here. Under normal circumstances, this wouldnt be a huge deal. However, the ONLY edible thing that ANY of us got was the cornbread. The food looked like it had been sitting there for hours, some of it literally looked sort of crusty (like old refried beans.) The rice was undercooked and hard as a rock, with actual sharp pieces. The gumbo physically smelled bad and my husband couldnt even stand to swallow the bite he took. Same with the crawfish touffe. The collard greens were sour (how Ill never know…) I had to dig to the back of the buffet for blackened catfish, and though it was outwardly blackened, the inside was undercooked to the point of being unsafe. My 4 yr old will eat anything, especially anything mac and cheese related. She took one bite and spit it out. The Alfredo sauce was cold And strangely lumpy. The rolls were burnt to a crisp. The beignets were hard as a rock. My oldest daughter jokingly started knocking it on the table and it sounded like she was hitting it with a rock. And finally, my husbands cup had an actual hole on the bottom of it and the waitress seemed irritated when we kindly asked her for a new cup, though she could see the puddle that was collecting on the table. These are just the highlights- trust me when I say, we paid $50 to eat cornbread. We will never ever go back. If my husband hadnt been too reserved to act on it, I would have asked for our money back to pay for the second meal I bought my family after leaving full plates of inedible food on our table. Id love to know what the health department thinks of this place.
