I really liked this location. It was very clean and the wait staff never let my drink get empty! Very good service. The food choices were many and it all tasted really good! Went for lunch and enjoyed the fried chicken, which was crispy and not greasy, creamy mashed potatoes, corn, spinach, and a roll! Then sampled the bourbon chicken and honey sesame chicken on steamed rice and they were very flavorful! Next sampled the BBQ pulled pork which was very good! Just liked the old fashioned BBQ on bun sandwiches from my childhood! Put it on one of the very large rolls to make a sandwich! Did manage to squeeze in one marshmallow with chocolate coating from the chocolate fountain! Can’t wait to go back and sample what I couldn’t get down this trip!
There’s something different with this Golden Corral – and it’s a good thing! Our family rather enjoys the taste and buffet of Golden Corral, so we’ve been to this location several times (AT LEAST 8x), but with every time we went, we felt the food quality was lacking more and more – until this visit!Perhaps it’s new management, or their way of battling the competition with Fuze down the street, but the food was excellent and on-par! Food was hot, fresh, and ready. We came during breakfast, but close enough to lunch that we actually tried their lunch options as well; nothing we tried – be it salads, hot food, desserts – tasted stale or old. And usually, my golden rule at buffets is to go when there is a lot of customers (it promotes constant turnover and freshness of food), but even with the restaurant not being full to max capacity like I’ve seen in the past it was still very good! Our server was also much friendlier than past individuals too, so that’s always a plus! I cannot think of another Golden Corral as up-to-date and fresh in the Oklahoma City area.
