Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant and clean. We however found the food to be mediocre at best. We ordered the red beans and rice as a litmus test, not having dined here before, with the assumption if they made this well (faithful in the small things), the other dishes would also be good (faithful in the greater things). The beans and rice seemed to be served dry out of seperate pans and Cajun spices added as, in essence, an afterthought. We were under the impression traditional red beans and rice are slow simmered together with other ingredients, creating almost a stew-like consistency, incorporating the taste and color of each element, hence the name red beans AND rice. We expected the sausage to be Andouille sausage or at least a good quality sausage, which again is traditional Creole (well not Cajun, so they get off on a technicality). Either way this is a basic staple of Louisiana cooking which is better prepared by a Louisiana fast food chain. We were hoping for an authentic regional food experience but were disappointed. We pray the owners will read this and not take this as a personal attack, but as constructive criticism to reevaluate their recipes to fit the culinary genre they desire to represent.
