We are Amuse-dAshland is flush with good restaurants and this is one of the best we tried.The place is small and charming, the staff is attentive and helpful and the food is great. OK, prices are high. But the quality is good.We had an arugula salad and a prawn appetizer to start and then moved on to an entree of scallops and another of halibut. Both were perfectly cooked. So often scallops are overcooked and to do it right takes a deft touch.Amuse is a nice special occasion restaurant and also a what-the-heck restaurant. Just go!
My special occasion dessert place, specifically for the beignets. They are made to order and sooooo worth the wait. Perfectly crisp outside with rich creamy eggy-ness on the inside and raspberry sauce to wipe up with a finger. I’m speechless with taste bud delight every time. Never had dinner here. Just beignets and coffee.
