Outstanding! Great service and the food was superb. Excellent menu with some great twists on appetizers. We highly recommend this restaurant to all.
The food was amazing. In my opinion….the best in Southern Oregon. The decor is stringent and very noisy. They should adapt a warmer atmosphere like Amuse does. Huge potential. I recommend the mini beef Wellington as the appetizer and the lobster ravioli as the main. Wine list is reasonably priced but limited. I am sure this will improve with continued success. I highly recommend this restaurant
Great food, bad service. We got there and sat and sat. Staff walked by but no one took our order for a long time, it took even longer before any of our order came out. The servers were nice as people, but the service level I felt was poor. I am used to the now closed Chateaulin where the service was always great. The food here however was excellent. If dining were just the food this would be great. However, I felt quite condescended to in our interactions with one of the owners. I eat out a lot, and I eat well. This was the first time in ages that I felt like the attitude of the restaurant was that I should be glad they were feeding me rather than them being glad I was there. The ambiance was very loud also with no apparent effort to muffle the sound, which is a matter of taste. I was not particularly impressed with the wine list. I am really sorry that we had a bad experience because, really, the food was great. However, Ashland has several great restaurants with lower price points, so at least we can still eat out when we are there.
Really nice people. Very good food. Go on a night that you are NOT attending the theater and savor all of the wonderful flavor combinations. There is seriously good cooking going on in the kitchen, and front of house knows all the details, delivered in a friendly, personable manner. Good wines, excellent desserts.
Wow! Thank God, a really good restaurant in Ashland. The food is great. Very creative and unique. Had the Beet salad and Farmer’s Market Pasta and the creme brulee. All were incredible. I wanted to lick my plates, (really, I did!!) I plan to eat here often!! Scale of 1-10, this is a 10!
Loved everything about this new place! We tried it on Valentine’s Day & even tho they were super busy they treated us well. Great food, tried appetizer, salad, mains, dessert & cocktail & all got double thumbs up! My new fav in Ashland. Get a reservation & check out this new spot.
Great addition to the Ashland dining scene. With fantastic food and great atmosphere, Coquina is a wonderful new addition to the Ashland dining scene. Daniel does a great job in the front of the house describing Chef Lynn’s tasty menu highlighting local ingredients. As he described, her preparations bring out the best of great ingredients and let their subtleties come through. The bar is small, so if you happen to be early (or just want to make an even better evening of it), park in front of Noble and have a drink or glass at the Peerless. Just be sure to save room for appetizers at Coquina like the pork belly sliders and buttermilk dipped and fried quail.Salad choices included carrots done three ways (fried, sliced and juiced) and asparagus (done right) with proscuitto and parma. At our table we had four entrees: tender and flavorful goat shanks, flat iron steak with truffle butter and hedgehog mushrooms (wow), Willow-Witt pork chop (fantastic) and oregon truffle lasagna (yumm).Oh, and then desserts… We tried three, the best of which were the creme brulle and the tira misu.Ashland has several good restaurants, but Coquina joins the very few that are phenomenal! Yet another reason to get off the beaten path and share the gems of the historic Railroad district.
