Mothra says…..Comfortable and Cozy. K & I come here often if not to dine, then to have a drink when we are southbound or northbound. It is a dimly lit cozy little establishment up above the street that we both like very much. Good wine list and normally they are spot on with respect to the cocktails.On this visit, Josh was behind the bar and chatting about the NFL game on the tube. I asked for a potato vodka martini and Josh insisted that Tito’s Vodka was potato. Come to find out, it is corn based. He is also a Packer fan……. I won’t hold that against him. After a 5 hour drive down from Portland, K and I walked the restaurant row near main street and walked into Martino’s upstairs, We walked into the restaurant then sat at the bar. We asked Dave the bartendar for a food menu while he mixed us two What? You know how we like our martinis: absolute (this time) vodka shaken over ice, up, no vermouth, lemon twist. We advised Dave that the fruit and cheese plate looked good prior to dinner later that evening. I was right. This was a large platter of assorted cheeses and fruit with shaved parmesian cheese to boot. Along with some sliced bread, this was a refreshing snack. Mothra says…. next time we will stick around for dinner. 3.65 of 5.0

Matino’s/Macaroni’s is YUM!!. We came to Ashland for our 13th anniversary. Came to this restaurant before our Shakespere show and was super glad we came here for dinner. We got a nice window seat and our waitress was very accommodating.My husband ordered the Seafood Stew and I ordered the Seafood fettucini (I always order this at any restaurant that has it on their menu). We ordered a nice bottle of Italian Chianti wine which was superb. I was pleasantly surprised to see the huge pieces of seafood on my pasta. I had it with the red sauce they also have a white sauce. The pieces of the shrimp were huge!! Has chunks of salmon, clams, muscles and scallops. We were both surprised at how much seafood they put on the pasta!1! His Seafood stew was delicious as well. Will come back here for sure!
