A fantastic experience. The braised short ribs special was unbelievable. We will be back.
Yummy, yummy food! Prices are excellent too. Service can be spotty depending on the server, sometimes excellent, other’s not so much. We keep going for the excellent food though.
Oregon Pizza. Amazing food. Absolutely best g-free pizza. The flavors in this pizza (pear, prosciutto among them) are a taste sensation.Service and atmosphere stellar. Prices surprisingly reasonable. If eating out is a treat for you too…this place is worth saving up for.
Food did the job – however they love to charge for condiments. I got charged for mustard! We also ordered pasta and were charged 85 cents for Parmesan. If I ordered coffee, I am sure I would be charged 50 cents for cream.
Bad Experience. Awful experience. The food was just OK and Piatti ran out of the special before 6 pm, would not leave the cheese of on dish, and indeed would make no viriations from the menu. Worst, I overpaid by $12 (once the meal, tax, and tip were figured) because I had only twenties figuring I would take back $10 when the change came. The waiter pocked the change. Being part of a large group I chose not to make a scene, but I’m pissed.
Hit and Miss. I’ve been here twice, and the experiences were polar opposites. One time the food was very tasty, and based solely on that I would highly recommend this restaurant. Except… the other time I came the food was horrendous. I ordered mushroom risotto, and I received crunchy rice in soupy broth (it definitely needed at least five more minutes of cooking to finish) with reconstituted dried mushrooms. Half the mushrooms had soaked too long and were soggy, the other half were still dry. The onions ranged in size from a fine dice to chunks that were an inch and a half in diameter. Some of the garlic was chopped, while other pieces were 2/3 of a clove. My date ordered alfredo, and it was overseasoned to the point of near inedibility. Yes, a little nutmeg is important to bring out all the flavors in an alfredo sauce. Too much nutmeg will (and in this case did) ruin it, however. That said, I do know a lot of people who swear by this place. And there was that one great meal I had here… I suppose this is a place worth coming to if you enjoy playing Russian Roulette with your food. On the other hand, there are other places in town where you can safely expect to ALWAYS get good pasta, so why not just go there?
