Very expensive and pretentious and not good! Trying to create a fine dining experience, but failed badly! As in other reviews we were referred by hotel! Not worth the trip or money….
Where have you been hiding? Nothing half baked here!. A staffer at Hotel Elliott recommended Baked Alaska as a quick choice on a Monday evening. Walked down to the waterfront and hesitated over entering Pizzeria. Person on duty was prompt to ask what we were after – pizza, bar or dining? He described how to find the way through the maze – looked like the whole pier was laid out as distinct service areas. Greeted, seated and handed menus: Fabulous! Couldn’t make up my mind so I went for small plates and salad; our waitperson female was right with me on order of presentation. Panchetta wrapped prawn came on skewers – all I could do was moan with delight as I savored them. Arugula and roasted beet salad – nice portion, light dressing, just yummy! Duck confit on bed of farro/bulgar – Duck! Oh, this was excellent, melt in the mouth, smoky, rich, and I wish there had been a whole bird however I would not have had room for dessert. And such a dessert – Half Baked Alaska based on chocolate chip cookie dough, vanilla bean ice cream – flamed as it was brought to table in cast iron skillet. Must be enjoyed to be believed! This is on my go back and try more list.
Great food and excellent service! The view of the Columbia river is very nice and the food complimented the ambiance. Cocktails were creative and delish! Go check it out.
Fantastic food! Came here spontaneously on the way to Cannon Beach and ordered the duck and the salmon. A selection of breads were presented to us with dippings that were so good we decided to ask for more. Both meals were so tasty we decided to order the cheese cake too. Not surprisingly it was also amazing. I have to say this dining experience has been the highlight of my stay in Canada and the States so far.
Food was great view wonderful but entree prices were higher than expected average 22 to 24 dollars
Food was great! Wonderful view of the river. Had a salmon special and baked alaska for desert. I will definitely come back.
Disappointed -meal was terrible. Had eaten here before with my husband so was excited to bring family here. Our meal was terrible! I ordered scallops with yam fries and the fries we burnt. When we told our waitress she told us, that is the way their chef likes them prepared. My daughter ordered a fig, shrimp, spaghetti dish and the sauce was also burnt tasting. Unfortunately we will be going back to our regular stop instead of coming back to this restaurant.
