So apparently Clemente’s Seafood was closed down for a while and/or moved location or something. This notwithstanding, Clemente’s Seafood is indeed back in service – with a bang! We ordered kalamari, yam fries, Caesar’s salad, and a 4 piece cod lunch. When we saw the portions, we didn’t think we could possibly finish it. We devoured it all in one go. Everything is freshly made; the fries are crispy, the food is sustainable, the Caesar’s salad had some flavors that my dad – the master of Caesar’s salad making – didn’t know. Everything was homemade, even the ketchup. They use rice oil (Rice oil? Is that even a thing?) for frying, lending a light texture. If ever you go to Astoria, you simply must try this place!

Worst meal ever!. I ordered the salmon. It was pan fried instead of grilled with just salt and pepper for seasoning. The vegetable side dish was so over cooked that I had a hard time recognizing what the vegetables were. They were a brownish gray color with a bitter after taste. The other side dish was a blob of sushi rice. Not very special. This was on a Tuesday. I was told that the chefs do better food later in the week! Too bad for me as it my 60th birthday.

Very fresh at a late weekend lunch. 4 in our party, everyone’s order was excellent. Highly recommend the Sole fish n chips, clam chowder and crab cakes. You could tell the food was fresh, fresh and fresh!!

Great atmosphere and food. We had lunch here which was excellent and decided to return for dinner which was excellent. Every thing is prepared from scratch so expect paced service. My only compliant is food appeared under seasoned but that can be easily fixed, better than being over seasoned. I would return.

Excellent food! The poke sampler and freshly shucked oysters on the half shell- delish!

Amazing. We went for an early lunch with a party of four. Everything we tried was fantastic- we ordered fried oysters to share, green salad with scallops, crab cakes, cioppino, and a shrimp melt. The french fries with house made ketchup were particularly good, as were the sweet potato fries. The service was friendly and attentive. Definitely will stop by this place next time we visit Astoria.
