Yum! Great bagel and lox for breakfast this morning. Always fun to soak up the view and quiet atmosphere.23 Sep, 2012What a blast! We were a little worried at first – are we really supposed to drive out to the pier?!?! The old cannery is awesome (there is a free museum on the good ole days of the Bumble Bee tuna cannery) and Coffee Girl is a quiet oasis. The barrista happily customized a breakfast bagel to make it vegetarian friendly and served us the most amazing coffee cake with a soy London Fog. A second visit a few days later was equally tasty. Be sure to spend a few minutes outside listening to the sea lions and if you’re really lucky, one might swim by and check out the activity on the pier. Cormorants and other waterfowl are also plentiful. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
Creme Brulee Latte!. A nice place for a cup of coffee, loved the Creme Brulee Latte here. The Quiche was also very good and the views of the Columbia River are awesome from the dining room and the back patio which sits right over the water. 🙂
Great View!. Nice place, very good coffee, very good (if somewhat limited and healthy) food, friendly service, and man what a view… if this place served beer there would be only one choice on Pier 39 (sorry Rogue Brewery).
Awesome Find!. I was in Astoria for the weekend and stumbled upon the old Cannery. We ate at the Rouge for dinner and saw the sign for Coffee Girl. I’m so glad we went back for our morning coffee and breakfast! We walked in and were immediantly hit with the smell of baking granola. I decided to order their yogurt and granola for breakfast and got an Americano to drink. My Americano was one of the best I’ve ever had and the breakfast was perfect. The next time I’m in Astoria I’m definetly going back!
Adventures in Coffee. Just driving out to the pier is fun. The sound of the sea lions and the uneven feel of walking on wooden planks always cause a shift. I slow down. I get romantic about the river. I like the dual views from the table in the corner. The fabulous coffee and the adorable girls — they do make the best coffee in Astoria — all that is secondary. Even the food is superior but what makes mornings at Coffee Girl special is the way you feel when you step outside where the boats tie up and you sit on the bench sipping your coffee. It makes for a good day.
What A View!. I go to many places in Astoria and am out at least once if not twice a day to dine. The Coffee Girl is always friendly, the view great, and the food/drink consistant and always good! Zetty does not know me personally but I have refered many to her there with return reports that my recommendation was tops!
Best coffee drinks anywhere! Inside an old cannery building converted for businesses. Super location with free wifi and comfy chairs.
