Unique and Delicious!. Quirky ambiance, fresh, innovative food! :)!27 Aug, 2009Funky Ambiance, Very Talented Chef!. Cool little place in Astoria where you can sit at the bar and watch Chef Uriah Hursley cook, he is very talented and loves what he does! The food is fresh, fresh, fresh and the service warm and friendly, you will feel like family here, menus change daily. Don”t miss this one while visiting Astoria! 🙂

Don’t come here if you are in a hurry. It was a Saturday morning and we had a 30 minute wait to be seated. We now have been sitting here for over an hour and still no food. For a place that only has 3 booths and 9 bar stools, this seems excessively long.Once the food came, the pepper jelly was great. The lox scramble was good; it was a little salty and needed more cream cheese. The smoked salmon omelette was also too salty.

We stumbled in late one evening, knowing nothing about it. The decor is funky, the space is small, and reggae music was playing so I expected typical bar-type food. The food on the menu is far from typical, including vegan dishes, pasta, and seafood dishes, but all with a twist from the norm. The pasta is handmade daily and so is the bread, which is served with four different jellies they make at the restaurant: cayenne, jalapeo, garlic, and salsa. For dessert I had a slice of espresso cream pie. It was entirely homemade and delicious. I would definitely go back but offer two cautions: they do not take debit or credit cards and the prices are higher than average. Other than that, I hope to be able to get back there soon.

Meh…. Crepes were dry & bland. Wish the old guy was working. The service was almost non-existent….

Cool place, friendly staff, they have really yummy pepper jelly’s…garlic, jalapeno, cayenne and salsa..they serve it with homemade toast. They cure their own bacon, I’m starving and it all smells SO good. Good food and not alot of money!
