Very nice atmosphere; excellent service. However, our lunch on Sunday 7/22 was unacceptable. Beef burak was greasy and so salty to be unpalatable. The roast lamb was also overly salted. Worse than the salt was that it was over cooked scraps. We saw an order of the roast lamb arrive at another table that looked fresh and had large pieces of lamb.If you go for lunch on Sunday, save your money and eat at Sunday Market four blocks east. At other times, send anything back the resembles what we were served.
We have been meaning to try Drina Daisy for years and we are glad we finally did. We stopped for lunch and were immediately seated. Our server was used to people not knowing anything about Bosnian food and explained everything. I stated with Kafa, Sarajevo-Style Minas Coffee, which was very smooth and something like Arab or Turkish Coffee in style. We started with Ajvar, a traditional condiment and spread which they added some smoked meat for us to try. The spread was very similar to something I have had in the past made by Russians and was very good. My wife had Bosanski Gulas a beef stew with paprika and it was very tasty. I had Burek, a beef pita (using filo), also very tasty. The mains came with a fresh salad and fresh fruit. The service was solid, the food very good to excellent. We will be back.
