  Katie. I want to say something, I went to Astoria once last year and just recently, the food were as good as before, but the restaurant were so nice and clean, beautiful after remodel. This place become my favor Chinese restaurant now, I wish they can open one near by my area.

  Jane and Samantha i am guessing are the same person who favors a different restaurant and overexaggerates. Anyways, best most fresh food in town. Great customer service very nice people. Portions are fairly large and i also hear they make a wonderful steak. As for yelling in the kitchen? That is just how they talk, they are not yelling they just have to speak loudly so the cooks can hear them

  Good service and place to eat. I live in Portland, I eat in the lounge the first night, the bartender is great and the manager were very nice. The food taste very good, big portion in low price. So I decide to bring my whole family to eat in the restaurant next day because I love the BBQ Pork and the Steak.27 Mar, 2011Good service and place to eat. I live in Portland, OR. I like this place, I eat in the lounge area, the food taste very good and it is one of cleaness restaurant that I went.

  Horrible resturant, horrible service.. The food we ordered was disgusting, the walnut shrimp has a disgusting looking sauce on it that looked and tasted like a warm mayonaise. My friend tried one bite and didn’t want to be impolite, but soon realized after the second bite that he couldn’t eat anymore and asked the manager if she could take it back and make him something new. She told us that she’d have to charge for that meal along with the new. She was very rude and went to the back and began screaming in a different language, what I can only imagine must have been profanity about the whole situation. She was very rude and I couldn’t understand why she was being so inappropriate about the whole situation. I told her that I work in the fast food buisness and when a customer isn’t pleased with the product, we always apologize and to please the customer, we make them something new. Even if they’ve eaten half or more of the product. The lady refused to believe that any resturant would do that and continued to argue with me about the situation. She ended up charging the bill for half the product even though not even half was eaten. Other customers in the resturant kept looking at us because the manager was causing a seen and yelling at us, they even made comments about how rude we were being treated and that we should just leave without paying the bill. I wanted to double check the bill to make sure she didn’t overcharge us, and the manager insisted on standing there and looking at me rudley…she charged a bit extra, but we didn’t want to make anymore of a scene than had already been caused. We payed for the rest of our meal, but along with that I was also going to buy some jewelry. Considering the poor service from the manager, I decided against it because I didn’t want to give any more of my money to them due to the whole situation. I will not be returning to The Golden Luck resturant because of the horrible service, and the poor product that was given to me and my friend. I advise anyone else looking to go to this resturant to go somewhere else, like one of the many other chinese food resturants in Astoria or the Pig and Pancake across the street. They have much better customer service and give you quality product, which is something I can honestly say The Golden Luck does not have.

  Extremely rude customer service. This resturant has the worst in customer service I have ever experienced. They forgot to bring us our beverage’s, and brought us food that did not taste good. My husband ordered walnut shrimp, ate 3 peices and did not like it. So when we asked them to take it back and make us something new, the manager became very rude and started yelling at us. She charged us for the 5 peices of shrimp, and did not want to have something new made for him. She was screaming in the back so loud that the other customers could hear. The other customers in the store also commented to us that we were being treated very poorly. As someone who works in the resturant business, I know that is not good customer service, and especially from a manager. Needless to say we will not be going back to that resturant.

  Great food, big portions for cheap. Kicks the snot out of alot of other chinese food restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
