Bran Muffins. Years ago when we travelled to the coast, we would always stop just to get those delicious dark brown bran muffins. I have never found a recipe that came close to that muffin. Any chance I could get recipe. Thanks…trapped in the desert.
Great Food & Service. Visited last week from Alabama and enjoyed a great breakfast at the Pig n Pancake in Astoria and yes they have 5 locations on the Oregan Coast to serve you….great food and service.
Fresh and Friendly Breakfast. Fresh large eggs, tasty bacon ( 4 slices), quick friendly service with plenty of coffee refills. My only ding is that the hash browns could use spicing up with onions and peppers
Disappointed. We selected this restaurant to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary with lunch. Huge mistake. Our senior spaghetti was a small portion with a dish of 1/4 cup of water in it. (I had asked for it to be drained when I ordered) The sauce was over spiced and mine did not have any mushrooms but my husbands was loaded with them.My salad was also not drained and sat in a pool of water. The soup was okay.Still hungry we decided to share a waffle. What a Shock when it came. A large eggo style frozen waffle luke warm for $6.99. WHAT!!! I was speechless. The waitress was polite and nice. We did not complain to her since we wanted a quiet lunch together and not make a scene. We Will Not Be Back Ever to the Awful Waffle place. Our visit was Feb. 1, 2014 in Astoria, Or.
As others have said, mostly what you would expect – a decent diner.I like to taste test eggs Benedict at different restaurants – I’ve had really excellent EB from scratch all the way to swill. This place falls a bit on the high side of middle ground – hollandaise sauce is the weak point but not horrible.
Basic solid food…well cooked and friendly staff. Not sure about the one $ sign…breakfast for family of 4 was $50 with tip/tax!
Good Diner Food!. Love the Pigs N A Blanket here, the Marionberry Syrup is really yummy. Swedish Pancakes are also very good, service is friendly and attentive. 🙂
