Went here on a concert night and asked for a reservation. They told me 2 hrs for a shaded table out by the river. We accepted this and waited. When they seated us it was at an unshaded table away from the river. We went back to the desk and said that we wanted a table by the river and there was one uncleared! They told us to wait 30 mins. so we waited at the table. A waitress came by and told us in a huffy manner that we had to wait inside! We complained to the desk AGAIN! Finally after 2 3/4 hrs we were seated at the table! The food was ok but expensive!! We will never ever go here again and warn folks to avoid this place on concerts nights

I was so hungry when I went here, that anything could have satisfied me. But not this place. To begin with, food was not received timely. It was a very long wait between ordering and receiving. My co-workers and I ordered several apps to share and this was our assessment: the coconut shrimp was bland with entirely too much coconut. The scallops were good, but upon first arrival were undercooked so we had to send them back. The seafood artichoke dip was basically a bowl of mayonnaise and oil. The clam chowder could have come from a can; it was fine, but nothing to rave about. The strawberry shortcake was placed on a dry, bland biscuit. Upon arrival of the clam chowder, one spoon was dropped by the waiter. It took so long to receive a replacement that a woman at the neighboring table became worried about our welfare and offered up her spoon. For this fabulous experience we paid about $75. The benefit of skipping this restaurant next time? Priceless.

We went for dinner early last Winter. Only once. And there is no reason togo again. Unlike the restaurants inSeattle, it is a very nice building in a very nice location, with very nice butamateur waiters and abundant mediocrity. The food was uninteresting.

Didn’t impress me.. We went in around 1:30 Sunday and no crowd at all. The hostess asked me for my name and wrote it down and we were seated immediately. Why take my name? It took over 10 min to get a server and there were probably 4 of them with not many tables occupied. I was hungry. I had caesar calamari salad and it was good (and small) but I didn’t want big. I had asked for a pint of dark draft beer. My glass was a tall slender one that was filled to two or three fingers from the top. No way was that a pint. If I am expecting a pint, I should be told it isn’t a pint and I can choose accordingly. No need to go back.

Excellent outdoor scenic dining, very good shrimp BLT & clam chowder. And wife had delicious fish tacos with corn tortillas (gluten free)

Mothra Says…Lunch by the River. After a drive into Bend recently, K and I were searching for Anthonys due to an alleged perfect fresh peach margarita. We were seated outside on the river on a sunny but breezy afternoon. It was a weekend day and the river was crowded with kayakers, boaters, rafters, & inner tubers alike. Prior to Andrew taking our drink order, I asked him if he not only had real peach margaritas but can the bartender Alan mix me the perfect vodka martini. Andrew replied yes and yes. Fantastic! While these two beautys were being mixed, Andrew took our lunch order. This is an upscale restaurant but with a moderate priced menu. First of all, Ks fresh peach blended margarita arrived and was not only colorful but tasty. But, kudos to Alan the bartender for one fine Crater Lake vodka martini, shaken, no vermouth, up, lemon twist. In short order Ks shrimp salad BLT with pesto mayo on toasted sourdough arrived; accompanied with a cup of white clam chowder and a really fantastic Asian slaw. Now this sandwich K loved; the clam chowder was very good, however in Moths opinion, this slaw was out of this world good. Just the right amount of crunch, tangy and sweet. Maybe the best slaw I have ever tasted. Me? My crispy calamari Cesar salad arrived and Wow, out of the ballpark great. Even K not only enjoyed the view but the taste was amazing. Who knew to put these two items together? We will do this at the casa de Mothra soon. Mothra says…… two tasty entrees, two well shaken drinks, good service, good menu, good prices, and a quirky river parade out back. 3.50 of 5.0
