Great comfort Food and local atmosphere. We come to Bend often and love coming here with our college age kids; they are over 21. They love the food selection and being able to sample an unusual beer! We have never been disappointed, we do not go on a big sports event night as it gets so crowded and the service is slower. We consider ourselves regulars and come back often, great value and less touristy than Deschutes or 10 Gallon and much better food variety.

So stinkin good! I had the sockeye and the hubs had the Mac. it was the best salmon I’ve ever had. and the Mac was great too. so many flavors. two thumbs.

Great food, awesome selection, great service. Had another great meal at BJ’s. Friendly prompt service and great menu selections of freshly prepared pub food , as well as a loud but upbeat family or friends and sports bar ambiance.A great add for them would be some low cal, lower sodium and sugar main courses……pretty heavy comfort food. Great tho…..and we will always go back……love the location, love the local patrons. Descheutes is just too full of tourists and hype. I love BJ’s and will be back!

AMAZING!!!! WILL BE BACK!!!. I was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bend(amazing hotel), and asked them about good late night dining options in town, since it was 10 pm at night. I had mentioned eating at Deschutes Brewery pub because we liked their beer. They told me that it was nice but a little touristy and to try out Brother Jon’s Alehouse. They told me they had amazing food and beer there. So I took her up on her recommendation, and I couldn’t have been happier. The restaurant outdid any expectations, and I have to say that to this date, I have never had better service anywhere!!! Our waitress, Johnny, was phenomenal!!!! I cannot say enough great things about her, she was fun, light-hearted, welcoming, and one of the most charismatic people I have met. We were looking at the beer menu for drinks and she came over and we told her this was our first visit to Bend, OR and we were here to try out some good beers and good food. Delighted she told us that we were in luck because beer was her specialty and that she would bring us over some samples. As we were trying the samples she went over each one individually with us and told us all about them. Her knowledge of the beer’s and processes blew our mind, and taste buds. During the meal we were looking for another beer to try and Johnny came back over with some more samples to try and we found our new favorite beer!!! She was extremely helpful and told us where we could go pick some up in a local market to bring back home. For dinner, per Johnny’s recommendation, we had the french onion soup (pure amazingness!!!), Portobello Sandwich, and the Beef Tenderloin Sandwich. All of the food was cooked to perfection and highly satisfying. After dinner we were so full with no room for dessert. But we had another beer anyway… haha… I highly recommend coming here, we loved it so much we went back the next day before we left to go back home!!! If you are in Bend this place is a MUST!!!! Hopefully you will be lucky enough to have Johnny as your server too!!! AMAZING!!! WE WILL BE BACK!!

I found the service to be quite adequate, even after the place got real busy. Went there on a Saturday for lunch around noon time. The portions were good and the Boneyard hop vemon was quite stout. Definately will return.

Food was good. Service was awful. We were the first table in the door and it took an hour for our food. I’m pretty sure our server forgot to put our order in.
