Over rated. It all tasted like salt to me. they have a great rep in Bend, I think the coolness of the skateboarding gals delivering the food trumps the salt taste.I dunno, I’ve been there a few times and thought the same thing every time. though you ask anyone in Bend where to get a good hamburger and Dandy’s always comes up. maybe I just don’t get it.

Great Burgers & Onion Rings!. I’ve been eating at Dandy’s since I was in high school in the 1970s. The food is still as good as it was back then. The burgers and onion rings are delicious! My only critique is that occasionally the cook over salts or over cooks the burgers a little. Well, I also wish they would open another branch on the west side as they are always so crowded during peak hours.
Best Burgers. By far the BEST burgers in Bend. I wish the stayed open longer though. HInt, Hint!!!!
Disappointed. Got a Double Dandy. Meat seemed not bad but not fresh. Over-all food just seemed bland. Fry sauce needs major improvement.
Delivered by a Car Hop. Dandy’s… Good burgers and fries… Old time (1960’s) feel…. and that is because NOTHING has changed since it was built…. and that is a good thing….. Step back in time and sit in your car and eat food that was ordered and delivered by a Car Hop….
Dandy’s delivers excellent burgers, drive-in style. Simple and delicious. Dandy’s Drive-In has around 16 stalls you pull into. There is no inside seating. The menu is printed on the inside of the rafters. Orders are placed with the roller-skating waitstaff who have responsibility for one side of the drive-in or the other. Meals are fresh-prepared and wait times are reasonable. Burgers, fries, and a soda are an excellent combo. For a change of pace, try onion rings or a grilled cheese for the kids (not that you have to be a kid to eat a grilled cheese!). Cash only, no credit/debit cards allowed!
