Best French Dip I have ever had! Great burgers and great fries. If you are not very observant(blind as a bat like some reviewers), there is a huge sign saying they cook their fresh cut fries in peanut oil. This makes the very best fries and if you don’t believe me then go to 5 Guys or In & Out Burger as that’s how they cook their award winning fries. If your in the market for a cut of meat, their steaks are top notch.
I didn’t mind the place, excellent burgers, and salads. It worries me that they fry their fries in peanut oil, and it isnt posted very obvious. I also would enjoy it more if the meat market were a little separate from the dining area. The smell of the meat got a little unappetizing after a while and I don’t have a weak stomach. Fresh meat is excellent, as well as the Bacon. Overall liked it.
Awesome Meal, Great Folks!. To live in Bend and savor the flavor’s of our local restaurants we are so very fortunate to enjoy. My Wife and I (no kids) eat out approx. 3 times a week and must say that we have not had a better culinary experience than Pono. It is what it is, nothing too fancy, but the food quality rivals any I have had in our region or other. I urge anyone who loves fresh meat to try this place as the price is reasonable for the quality. The steaks are worth the price in other words, bring a few home and enjoy them with a nice bottle.

Great concept. Went there for lunch and was very impressed with their concept and meat selection. Talk about true farm to table. We ended up trying one of the wagyu cheesesteaks and a wagyu burger. Wow! You can really tell the difference. Also the pricing was very reasonable for what you get. After our meal, we ended up trying some of their bacon and pork chops at home. Very good. Def worth the trip.
