This place ROCKS!!! Great variety of local products, lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. Chipotle bacon Bloody Mary, yes please! Way more than just amazing bagels! Trust me, go there!
I’m disappointed.. I visited Rockin Dave’s Bagel Bistro for the first time this morning. The parking was a bit tight but once I got inside, everything looked and smelled fabulous. The young woman working behind the counter was very nice and helpful. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs for breakfast and, before long, my plate was in front of me. The spices smelled heavenly. My eggs were cooked to perfection and the potatoes were as delicious as they smelled. Unfortunately, that is where the good news ends. It seemed as though half of what should have been corned beef turned out to be mushy cubes of fat. When I spoke to Dave about it, I was left feeling as though he couldnt have cared less. Dave explained that they slow cooked their corned beef brisket, themselves, and that a certain amount of fat needed to stay on the meat for flavoring. I pointed to the pile of fat on my plate and asked So you consider this to be an acceptable amount of fat in your corned beef and hash He kind of smirked and said that maybe that was a little too much. Dave then suggested that if I found his corned beef to be too fatty that I should try the pastrami hash next time, as it was leaner meat. That was it. Then he was gone. No apology. Just excuses. Sad to say, there wont BE a next time. All it would have taken was Im so sorry you were unhappy. What can I do to make it right (Or even Im so sorry you were unhappy. Heres a bagel. Anything!)
My entire family LOVES this place. It is my 10 year old son’s favorite restaurant in Bend. Funky and fun, you will not regret it!

Pluses: solid, bottomless cup of coffee; consistently good food; friendly wait staffNegatives: a bit pricey, not tragic but should try and do something to include coffee in the price of a breakfast; a bagel shop should include a bagel as part of breakfast, not an option at additional chargeBottom line: have gone more than once and will again; possibly best option east of 3rd St.?
I had have the most amazing red potatoes and banana/pecan/coconut pancakes in this place.Staff were friendly the place was upstanding clean. I’ve living 9 years in Bend and going to my dentist one block down street and never saw this place before, but today I was wondering were to take breakfast and decide to go with the highest score and more appealing option that urbanapoon offered. Even I’m very familiar with the town I past it twice. But it worth the extra driving around for this delicious potatoes and pancakes
Yesss to good food well done!. Dave’s is our favorite Bend morning and afternoon place to eat- their food comes fast, it’s real and it’s a great value- what’s to lose here?
Awesome. ROCKING DAVES is great, my husband and I have had 5 different sandwiches there and have NOT been disappointed. They remembered me the second time I came in and made me feel special. No, we did not get our food in fast food time but did not have to wait too long. They have a varied assortment of beverages including local companies. Everything is made on the premises. I plan on using them to cater my office Xmas party. They are also helpful for the community-Nov 20 they are sponsoring an event to help Neighborhood Impact and Pets. Its my new favorite place!
