Just OK for the price. Parts of the meal were nice (desert, coffee, service) but the entrees were forgettable and my porchetta was crazy over salted. If there were any Italian’s working there, I didn’t see them.No we didn’t leave the place swearing we’d never return but after reading previous reviews, we expected great things, or at least very good things and didn’t find them.
Sorprendente!. My family took me here for my 25th birthday. This place is definitely a must try! Worth every penny. My favorite part was the dessert, I had the clair. When I took the first bite I died and went to heaven.. I have had a lot of clair’s in my life and this one was to-die-for! The service was great, the atmosphere was nice the only discomfort I had was with the seating.. it was a little snug but who cares about that when the food is amazing 🙂
Well Not So Good. My husband and I went to Trattoria Sbandati because it was recommended by anarticle in the Oregonian and other online views. However it was not as goodas everyone raved about. Now maybe this is authentic Italian Cusine, but itwas just not that flavorful. The meal was very spendy but drinks were good at a reasonable price. My husbands 25 dollar porkchop was not remarkable and it should have been.. The soup was bland and flavorless. Highly not recommended.
A trip to Tuscany–w/o the airfare. After reading some of the thumbs down I felt obligated to step up. If you read the other comments from the negative reviewers you will discover they have no clue about Italian food, true Italian restaurants and the culture of eating dinner out in Italy. If you want the real deal without flying there this is the place. There are just a few Italian restaurants in the states that are like this but most want you out the door so they can flip the table. So if you want to eat like a Tuscan, make a rez, keep the table all night and make it a three hour meal that you will remember. For you Betty Crocker Italian Olive Garden lovers this is not the place for you.
A corner of Florence in Bend. Ciao, I am from Florence, Italy and finding a restaurant that serves REAL ITALIAN or better TUSCAN food is almost impossible to find in Oregon.Trattoria Sbandati is the only true italian that you can find, from food to service and beyond! You need to experience this if you want italian.Ciao a tutti e buon appetito!
Quaint, original, awesome!!!!
Food was good not great but our issue was the way we were treated. Walked in- asked if we had a reservation. The entire place was empty- one couple finishing up. We looked at each other and laughed – no we don’t have a reservation. Does it matter when your restaurant is empty??? Anyways she proceeds to thoroughly – for a few minutes- check her book. Then proceeds to tell us she can seat us but we can only stay for an hour because it’s reserved. We are then seated at the tiniest and worst table in the whole place- next to the service table. We ask if there’s a booth we can sit at and are told again its reserved in an hour and since it’s set for four people we’d have to leave it set that way. Ok whatever we’ll just sit at the tily crappy table…sorry for asking. At this point were looking at each other thinking are we being punked!?!? The food was ok but the servers were a little stuffy in our opinion and not very helpful or friendly- when asked for a refill on soda you would have thought we were speaking a foreign language- the server ran and asked and proceeded to tell us there’s no free refills. After a $100 plus meal I would think another coke would happily be served FOR FREE! After feeling like we were the customers filling up space for the real customers to get there…suffice to say we won’t be going back!
