A crusty loaf of bread with an olive oil dipping sauce was provided shortly after we were seated. We decided to start off with a shared appetizer of local clams and mussels in a saffron tomato/fennel sauce that paled in comparison to my own culinary efforts though satisfactory. Our entrees of blackened redfish with zydeco sauce and Dungeness crab over spinach and mashed potatoes were very good with the fish moist and delicious.
Don’t let them know you are from out of town like giving a cell phone number when making reservations. Our first table (in a nearly empty restaurant) was intolerable then we were moved to next to kitchen door. Table shook each time the door slammed open or shut. There was no discount offered for a lousy table and staff got a chuckle out of it. We left without ordering. Worst experience ever. Bend has a great many other options.
