My Favorite Restaurant period.. Gathering Together restaurant is always my first choice for a place to dine in this whole area – Corvallis included. The staff is always friendly, the setting and ambience always bright, cheerful and fresh, most of all, the food rocks and the price is incredibly reasonable. You simply can’t get a better meal anywhere in a better place. I love it!
Creative chef!. Everything they make is fresh and wonderful with most ingredients coming directly from the farm. But the best part of the Gathering Together Farms garden room is the creativity of Chef JC. Try a pizza with a tomatillo base sauce, duck confit, and goat cheese. The wine dinners really show off his creativity, but make your reservations in February if you really want to attend one.
Excellent food, all organic and locally grown. The smoked salmon/lemon/goat cheese pizza and the pesto/squash penne were amazing. The atmosphere is lovely, too; the seating areas are on the outside porch or inside an open farmhouse room. My only complaint is that the portions were awfully small for the price. A small plate of squash cost $6. That seems pretty excessive, despite the excellent quality of the food.
