Fantastic food, for a great price!. It’s been over a month since I visited. but I still can’t get the Golden Orient out of my mind. I was there for lunch, enticed by the low price of their menu and I was not at all disappointed. I ordered the lemon chicken, which you rarely see on a lunch menu and I rarely get to order since no one in my family really cares for it, and it was so good! I wish I hadn’t of been in such a hurry so I could have enjoyed more of it. I also enjoyed the egg flower soup, it was thick and didn’t have any of the superfluous vegetables that some Chinese restaurants put in it. The service was also fantastic! The girl was so sweet and even though she was the only one working, she still did an excellent job making sure each table had whatever it was that they needed. The Golden Orient will definitely become my go to Chinese restaurant.
Chinese food. I tried this restaurant because a reviewer said they spoke cantonese and they do. We wanted some chinese comfort foods, but we were first given the standard menu with the Chinese-American dishes, but when they overheard us talking, they brought out their newer traditional chinese menu. The pork spareribs were good. There were a few fresh veggie dishes that you don’t find on a pre-printed menu. Most of the customers were asian. That’s always a good sign for a chinese restaurant. We will definitely go back and try some of the other dishes on that new menu.
