Not your usual Chinese Restaurant. A co-worker turned me on to the buffet. That’s all I’ve ever had there. It has a good selection, and includes both spicy and not. Price was reasonable at the time (haven’t been there in over a year now). Parking is not bad but not great. Service is okay. Never used the restroom so nothing to report there.If you have a lunch hour, check it out.
The special was steamed garlic shrimp. The shrimp were perfect, crisp and pink. Lots of garlic and some broccoli. My companion ordered beef with black beans. Succulent beef, fresh veggies with the right amount of crunch. The veg had the right amount of char and great flavor. We ordered the food without sugar.
We’ve eaten here for years and the food is always delicious & fresh. There is a buffet available for lunch and some dinners, but the menu has a lot of variety, including vegetarian entrees. Their specialty is seafood, and their sizzling Shrimp and Scallops is a delicate flavorful dish. Or the special Chow Yuk, which is a little bit of everything and delicious. Definitely one of the best Chinese places in Eugene with dishes other than the usual American versions of Chinese.
Family owned and operated, the Jade Palace provides authentic — and tasty — Chinese cooking at a reasonable price. There is a single price buffet, but we prefer to order from the menu. We recommend the Jalapeno beef dish as an unusual taste treat.
