Don’t let the appearance of the building fool you. This place has the best Thai food in town. I travel a lot for work, I’m a little Thai obsessed and I am constantly comparing every Thai place to Ubon. Everything they have is delicious and the price is great as well. The only negative thing I can think of is that they don’t have desserts!
Stopped for the first time today. Almost missed it, it doesn’t look like much at first glance. But the owner’s were friendly and the food was delicious.
One of the best Thai places I’ve ever been to. Seriously, completely blown away. The prices are super cheap for what they’re offering. The atmosphere is pretty lax, feels more like eating at someone’s home than a restaurant, but please do not let that turn you away from Ubon Thai. Their pad thai is stellar, their curries are the bomb. And their spicy scale treats you like an adult. On the downside, they’re only open 4 days a week!If you can learn to love Ubon’s quirky nature, you’ll never go to another Thai place on a Tuesday through Friday in Eugene.
Amazing food. You can’t judge a book by the cover, but this place is clean, comfortable and clever. The food is absolutely amazing and full of flavor. If you’re not impressed with these authentic dishes I will be surprised. WARNING! Medium spicy is HOT, and I like my Thai hot, but here I ask for medium minus and that is just right.
Definitely some of the best Thai in Eugene. Very laid back place, you order at a window and they bring it to you. Funky both inside and out. My wife tried the Pineapple Curry and liked it, but it came out too spicy so they thinned it down a bit. I tried the special, Pad Me Tom Yum, and mine was just right and very good. I also had a Thai Ice Tea. Quantities are large, the prices are good and we will be back.
Very Good. When I drove up, I almost passed up. Then I decided to give it a shot. Best decision I made. Food was worth the drive. Will do this again for sure. Recommending to all my friends in the area. Oh yeah…
The outside isn’t fancy, neither is the inside. But the food is fantastic. Our group of 5 tried a total of 4 dishes. We passed them around, I liked them all. I am bringing another group of friends there in a week or so. Big portions, great prices.
