Worst service ever. Last night I went to dinner at miss delta’s with my partner and some of our family. It was the worst service I have ever had there. First of all it took a minute to get our order taken. Then it took about ten minutes to get 4 drinks made and a soda. When or order came up. The manager who was behind the bar with the only other server mind you told her the food was up and then they both proceeded to make drinks while our food sat in the window for 2.5 mins until the cook brought it to us. When we got our food it wasn’t hot, it was warm. My brisket sandwich was gross and my sweet potatoe fries were not cooked all the way. My brother-in-law’s food wasn’t properly cooked either. After or order was taken no one came to check on us. My partner went to the manager who was behind the bar and asked to speak with him. He said he eruptions be there in a few mins. The waitress came over and finally checked on us and we explained or concerns. She apologized and said she was new to bartending. We talked to her about the food and she said she would get the manager. After about 5 to 10 mins the manager finally came to talk to us. My brother-in-law explained what was happening and the manager immediately for defensive. He threw the waitresses under the bus and said he was not our server. But we explained he is the manager and it’s his job to oversee the entire restaurant. He then got loud and started talking all the plates from the table. Even the ones that people were not complaining about. And he never took ownership for anything. Needless to say Dan the manager at miss delta’s might want to find a new line of work if that is how he handles a busy night. I will never enter this establishment again. Very disappointed in how things were handled.
Fantastic breakfast! Crispy Fried chicken, flaky biscuits and flavorful gravy. Terrific ‘secret’ brunch spot!
Good vibe, good cajun/creole. Casual diner feel, with adequate elbow room. Good food, fair prices and portions. We really enjoyed the jumbalaya (I’m a connoisseur of such), side of collard greens, brisket sandwich, catfish. Will return whenever I’m in the neighborhood.
The ultimate southern meal.
The yam fries and associated sauce were quite succulent. However, was not fond of the bloody Mary nor the tofu creole.
Definitley recommend. Reminded me of growing up in the south–yes, that good. Chicken po’boy was excellent. Added a side of collards and was not disappointed. Great service. Topped off with some Abita beer and this one southerner who will be returning.
Best meatloaf in town!. I dig the atmosphere at the Miss Delta- casual, like being at a friends house. The food is fantastic and the drinks are strong. I’m a huge fan of the meatloaf, in whatever variety is being served up. Seasonal sides are always the best option.It can get busy during weekend dinner times, but if you go early or during the week, you can get a great dinner with little wait.
