Great German beers in a town full of micro brews. I love all beer and it starts with micro brews but now and then I want a Wiesse Beer served in a Wiesse glass and this is it. In a great part of Portland! The staff was on it. I’ll go back again and again.
Great beer selection. Super place to watch soccer. Awesome beer garden/deck. Allowed to bring food cart items in with drink purchase. Fun, friendly folks running this joint 🙂
I like beer.. This was fun on a hot summer day. grabbed some food cart falafel and sucked down a few pints.
Fantastisch!. This place has a great selection and avoids being thematically overdone. I can’t wait until the summer to enjoy the garden. The staff were also very friendly, attentive, and fast.
Good bier selection. Good beer selection. The servers were also knowledgable about beer and the difference between those on their menu. Service was a little slow but it was packed and busy. The acoustics are such that it was quite noisy and having a conversation was a challenge. But for a different experience and some of the hood German beers this is a good place. They need some fondue on their menu.
Not so sure. The bf and I were out for a chilly bike ride with a friend yesterday and we decided to stop in and give the new place a try. I am not a fan of German beer, so I stuck with what I know which was a nice cold Cider. The barmaid brought me the bottle and a glass…Uhh the glass had so much dust covering it that I could write my name in it…gross, but o.k. I used the bf hat to wipe the glass out and carry on. We split a brat and a pretzel. The pretzel was great.I’m not a fan of brats…but hey I’m in a German beer haus…lol. The brat was good and I really liked the sauerkraut…normally I can’t stand the stuff…scary part…the dish was chipped…seriously I don’t know how that was missed. I got a little concerned about where that broken piece of crockery had ended up…my food maybe? I will be back when you wash the dishes better and toss the broken ones out.
Wow! This brand new German place is awesome! Service, space, food- they have it all!
