Went to Ruby Jewel for the first time and tried the Rip City Hippy, and it was so sweet that I knew I had to pass, even though flavor was quite nice.I did get a strawberry milkshake for my companion, unfortunately same story — delicious fresh strawberry flavor, creamy but way too sweet.I really wanted to like this sustainable and locally sourced ice cream shop, alas. doofniks.com

Hazelnut w/Honeybar- fabulous! Waffle cones taste even better than then smell! I’m not easily impressed with many of the new/ trendy ice cream shops. This one is extremely good at what they do. Totally hit the mark- best in the NW!
You walk in to the smell of waffle. As in, freshly made waffle cones. Yeah, try not to enjoy that. Impossible. Oh, and the ice-cream, delicious! The flavors are yummy! Taste test as many as you want. It’s almost expected. I loved the banana-cream pie flavor they served during the summer months. So good. So. Good. And, they also make ice-cream sandwiches. Apparently, well-known for. Still have yet to try one. I know. I feel the shame. Anyway. Give it a try. And, new location opened in downtown, look it up (yeah, I’m obviously well informed).
Great not to sweet, add the rosemary pecans they are worth it.
Amazing Flavors. Ice cream has a great texture fresh waffle cones are amazing and I am having a love affair with the salted caramel and dark chocolate flavor
So good!. The honey lavender is best described as a garden, a smile, and a spring day in your mouth. Fantastic! I also had the caramel salted dark chocolate. As strange as it may sound, the small amount of salt cuts down on the sweetness.
