I had a terrific experience with Tiffin Asha. I chose the tiffin trilogy and sampled the dosa, vada, and idliwith sambar. My kids chose from other food cartsbutsoonhad their eyes onmine. They then finished their food quickly and then tore into my dishes. Hmm.I have had sambar many timesin Bangalore and thisversion was better than any of my prior experiences. The idli cakeswere beautifully portioned in ovals adorned with mild black sesame seeds. Dipping idli into the sambar was a delight of savory andspice that wasnever oversold because of the mild dal/rice light sponge. The dosa was as light and lovely as ever a dosa was and rolled for easy tearing and eating. The vada snacks were lighter than any I have ever tastedand also were even better when paired with the luscious sambar. The four chutneys were delish even if the portions were small: the coconut was fresh and light, the cilantro was calming (if not just a bit predictable), the peanut was lightly spiced and the green mango was diced small and very, very good.I tried the red gunpowder and thought it was terrific. Not too spicy at all. It further decorated my idli.I had the homemade iced chai and it was very well balanced but might be a bit peppery for some. It wasn’t too sweet as some often are. The available hand wipes were needed and appreciated by this customer.
