Not what we were expecting…. Based on other people’s reviews we expected more flavor. I will say they have an extensive vegan/vegetarian menu and some gluten free options. The veggie scramble lacked flavor and the chicken with the chicken and waffles was rubbery. The service was very good and we received our food relatively fast. We just were missing flavor.
Satisfied Tiger.. I took the boy out for a lunch today. He picked this little restaurant. With an order of French Fries, Veggie Sausage, and a Burger into the kitchen we waited. In a nice waits time, we were eating fresh, good food. The burger was very adequate and flavorful. The ketchup was chilled(+). I had been into the bar portion for a Newcastle and about 20 minutes of The People vs. Larry Flynt. That was a good time. The draft pick is good by the way. I almost had myself a Kolsch from Double Mountain today.Today was another one to chalk up to the same goodness. Thank You Once Again.P.S. Waiter of ours, thank you for asking to refill my coffee. I had it the way I liked it and you did not mess that up. Thanks.
Excellent food! We’re vegetarians and loved the breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy, and the Portland scramble!! Large portions…only downside is slow service. Took quite a while to get our food once finally got to order. But…it was worth the wait! 🙂
Fabulous. I’ll admit that the only thing I’ve eaten here is their vegan biscuits and gravy, and their corndogs. However, those biscuits and gravy are the stuff my dreams are made of, and I frequently find myself craving them. The atmosphere is semi-divey but in a good way, the patio is nice when it’s not too hot outside, and the staff have always treated me well. I dig it.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the hungry tiger. I love the tofuffalo, I love the corndogs, I love the vegan chicken and waffles (especially with a side of vegan sausage gravy!). However ever since they’ve added the new vegan options to the menu, it takes WAY too long. Like almost an hour for a salad and some toast. If you have an afternoon to kill and you wannq kick it at the bar while you wait then you’ll have a good time but if you are at all busy, just go get a sandwich from sweet pea. I reccomend the special!
Terrible customer service. Waited for over an hour for food and was eventually told that our order had been ‘cancelled’ even though we were sitting there waiting. The place was not that busy and others were getting their food who had come in after our party of 3. Needless to say I never tasted their food.
Wow. I have never met a ruder, less helpful staff and their prices were excessive. They are surviving on that neo-hippie vegan vibe without being anything worthwhile.
