Complaint. I work in radio and I have patronized Tiny’s in SE often. I have brought many clients and friends there, who had not been there before, over the last several months. I have an inflammatory joint pain reaction to regular coffee, due to the acid, however I can occasionally drink a small amount of cold pressed coffee. Each time I have been in I have asked for 4 ounces of the cold pressed coffee which the counter folks have cheerfully provided and charged me $2.00. I have done this in other cafes as well and it has never been a problem.Yesterday morning, around 9:45 I went in and there was a new person, I think his name was Max. He said he was unable to sell me any less that 16 ounces which is more than I can medically drink. I explained my situation and said I had been sold a smaller amount for several months. The explanation he gave me for not selling me the smaller amount was that he didn’t know how to ring it up. The young woman working with him immediately sided with him and said that you, the manager, would be very angry to know that staff people had been selling me 4 ounces of cold pressed coffee. Of course I don’t know whether that would be your reaction, nor I’m guessing does she. Manager’s generally tend to be customer service oriented. There is no logical reason not to have sold me that amount of coffee. It works out to more per ounce than what you sell the larger cup for.The young woman was even more rude and uncaring than the young man. It was really one of the worst customer service experiences that I have had at any cafe in Portland. I won’t return, I will let my clients, the staff at the station, and friends know about my experience there. Also I will never recommend it to other people again.In these times, when things are this hard all the way around, why make a simple kindness into something mean and thoughtless for no good reason?

Very unfriendly, looking over there menu and did not order fast enough for them I guess. So now I go to the mlk local and they are great
