Jack is a great host and a great chef. The service was excellent and the people friendly. The Happy Hour specials and the live music made it even better. I went there twice while I was in town. The clam steamer was luscious.

We came to Cannon Beach and found this place while walking around. Very surprised by the amazing atmosphere, music and food. We will come back for more next time we visit.

What a great dinner, staff is very knowledgeable about the menu. the owner is there wandering between tables and making sure everyone is happy. the dinner was outstanding, I had the scallops and risotto, my wife had the Seafood stew, both were a 10!We will be back the next time we visit Cannon Beach.

Absolutely the best salmon I’ve ever had in my Life. Yes it’s pricey but after trying many other restaurants in cannon beach, I can confidently say this is the best one in town. Going back tonight before we leave town. Yum oh!!!

Spendy Mediocrity. I understand the need to economize in these tough times, but $12 dollar crab cakes should have at least enough crab to taste a little of it even if you can’t see it. Granted they were light and reminiscent of good, slightly oily savory pancakes, but they did not resemble crab cakes. The fish special promised a topping of wild chanterelles. At the height of mushroom season, only one small piece of one chanterelle was to be found on my plate. There were a few common crimini mushrooms.. Extra bread was brought to our table, but no additional butter. Prior to re-setting the table next to us, the hostess wiped the table with a potent bleach solution which, given the power of the lingering odor, was clearly a significantly stronger solution than is advised by the Health department. She then set the utensils directly on the still slightly damp table. Despite everything, the Bistro has potential. The fish — even with the lack of advertised chanterelles — was well cooked. The seafood stew was good. Still, we passed on dessert, and have decided there is not enough of a reason to return.

CLOSED. July 12, 2012. Major fire at this restaurant early this morning. It is a total loss.

Love the Greek Lemon Soup!. This is a cool little place located in dowtown Cannon Beach, we like to sit in the front of the restaurant at the window table. 🙂
