OMG – we’ve been here for an hour and 15 mins and are STILL waiting for our entrees. The clientele also seems to mostly be over 65. What else can I say. Atmosphere was nice if you like to sit in the attic with no air conditioning.

Been here several times and have been tardy about reviewing this excellent establishment. Newman’s is one of the most consistently best places to eat in a town known for good restaurants.Trust the wait staff — they know their menu and can readily help guide you to a fine meal. We were there on a crowded evening (St. Valentine’s Day) but everyone was still attentive, helpful but never overbearing.Don’t be put off if you are seated ‘upstairs’ in this converted house. Yes, you have to go outside to get there, but it results in a somewhat more intimate feel. This time we were downstairs and it was almost…. conventional in comparison. Still delightful. On our last visit, I had the duck. Just superb — crispy skin but still perfectly medium rare breast meat. The wife had the lobster ravioli, stuffed with delicately prepared lobster meat.Cannon Beach is a special place, and Newman’s is one of the highlights. Can’t go wrong.

Cozy spot, delicious seafood!. We came here during a rainstorm in March. It was storming outside, but this is a cozy spot. The food was amazing. We had the appetizer lobster ravioli. Outstanding!I had the sturgeon with risotto. I had never tried sturgeon before although we live on the West Coast of BC.It was so delicious! The deserts looked great but the portions are large and we were too full. Friendly laid back service. A great spot for a romantic dinner in this cozy little house! Busy place, we made a reservation…

Don’t miss it!. The lobster ravioli is nothing short of amazing! The salads are perfection. The staff is friendly. You shouldn’t miss this experience with one of the top chefs in the country. We eat there as often as we can when we come to Cannon Beach.

Wonderful Special Occasion Restaurant. The ambiance at Newman’s is very cozy and romantic. White inen tablecloths, roses and candles on the tables, etc. Most recently we dined upstairs and had a table by the window which was very nice. The food is of the highest quality and the service very professional. We love it here! 🙂
