Yum. We had been here years ago and just stopped going for some reason. Went back tonight and were very pleasantly surprised. Lots of food for a very good price. Papadam for the table app, with the three sauces. They were good. Masala dosa was well done with a nice crispy crust but still soft in the middle. Nice spice on the potato filling, with just a hint of heat. We had chicken-tika-masala, navaratan korma, and lamb pasanda. All were excellent. I really enjoyed the korma, with huge chunks of the veggies with that wonderful smooth korma sauce. Lamb was super tender and nicely done. Very sorry we have not stopped in lately, we will be back.
Excellent lunch buffet!. When I worked for a local company we’d often come here for the lunch buffet. I was in the area last week and I’m happy to report it is still an excellent choice! Great selection, fresh, hot and tasty as hell. And as has been mentioned, the absolute best naan around. The perfect balance of char, smoke and chewiness. Make it a point to try the lunch buffet, I can’t speak to any other service offered but this one feature alone keeps this place on my must do list when I am within a reasonable drive at lunchtime.
Always have enjoyed the food. If you like buffets their lunch buffet is good and reasonably priced. If buffets aren’t your thing go for dinner; the food is delicious. Service can be a little cold but food makes up for it.
The food is incredible, one dinner plate easily feeds 2 people. Atmosphere is odd but it’s very intimate, off the beaten path. We live this place!
I enjoy that they offer both northern and southern Indian cuisine. I’ve been here 5 times or so, the service isn’t the greatest…. Or lack there of I guess. You should ask for a garage of water (unfortunately it will be room temperature and taste of dishwashijg detergent and chlorine, but you’ll need it of you order my favorite saag paneer. I’ve ordered it mild, but regardless they can tolerate some spicenup in here! The flavor is worth it. Best chicken tikkamasala I’ve ever had! I love the Thali style dinner, because you get a bit of everything for harpy any more $. The papadom is crispy and light served with great sauces, the naan is always piping hot and fluffy with a bit of crispness on the outside, curries are rich and wonderful, the mango lassi can’t be left out(so good!). So if you dot mind waiting for long periods, with lack of bad service for some great authentic food, try it!
JUST OK. The spread is ok. Can visit once for the spread if you can’t find any other restaurants nearby. Priced reasonably. Taste is just ok. Don’t go by all the hype.
A good buffet. I often stop there for lunch while on the road. The buffet has a good selection of well made dishes. I’ve had a lot of good Indian food in Canada and some not so good here. The pakora isn’t great but the dishes have a good mix of spice and sauces. It is one of the better Indian restaurants, especially for a quick lunch that isn’t very pricey. It also has a nice atmosphere. I’d like to try it for dinner but I’m way over on the East side of town.
