Used to be the best….. This place was THE Korean place in the PDX area….but it changed ownership and is no longer great. Just not the same attention to detail and the dishes are inconsistent in quality. And the hours changed for the worse.

This is a great place. A hidden gem. You would not stop in by looking at the outside… But like the proverbial book… You can’t judge this place by its cover. We were invited by some friends of ours to celebrate our birthdays and we walked away VERY FULL & VERY HAPPY! The restaurant is small… Not long on decor… But we were there from 6-8pm and the place was full and people were waiting for a table as we left. It is a Korean restaurant and the place was full of…WELL…Koreans!! Which is telling you something. (I’m trying to be PC here) The food quantity was large and the service was excellent, even as busy as it was. They serve beer and wine only… But take my word for it and drink the beer and stay away from the wine. It was my only disappointment! If you like Korean food…. Please give this place a try!ENJOY MORRY

The wait was long but sooooo worth it. The food was delicious, super fresh and lovingly prepared. The owner was so nice and entertaining. He taught us about the food and suggested how best to eat it. He knew all of his ingredients and had talked to his suppliers to find out what was gluten free. There was lots of food and the price very reasonable.

Best Ojingo bokum I’ve ever had. I try out the Korean places wherever I travel. Much like some people use Pad Thai as their touchstone for Thai food, I use Ojingo bokum for Korean. Hae Rim serves the best I’ve had. Friendly service, reasonable prices and extremely tasty. Yum!

Wonderful and Friendly. Mom and Pop place serving great Korean food. You better like, spice, seafood and meat if you come here… They do serve the safety-net bento teriyaki box for the unadventurous eaters; bummer for them, because the food here is worth the drive. The seafood pancake with squid, shrimp and baby octopus is huge, slightly grease/crispy and so good you don’t want to eat anything else… at least until you try the next dish. If you are not ready for the wild side, try the instant comfort foods of Dolsat Bibeem Bop or Bulgogi.
