Don’t like it. Been here numerous times; has been terrible the last two. Had the worst taco salad I have ever had. It was soggy; the lettuce e was wilted and tasted old like it had been prepared the day before. My wifes’ tostada was just as bad with old wilted lettuce; add to this the slow service and it was a bad experience all around. We gave it a second chance but we won’t be back.Don’t recommend this place at all.
Fun, beautiful, delicious.. Mexican food can be so tedious. There are sooo many places serving the exact same globs of beans and piles of rice. And then there is this little gem! The place is amazing to look at. The decor is florid…tile work everywhere! It’s beautiful to see, even if you don’t eat. But the menu! Oh. Cevice. Mole. All the Mexican rarities that tell you a place is for real. And it’s delicious. And fun, too! If you can drink one of their giant margaritas, you are a bigger man than I am (see: gallon of booze). This is the best Mexican food we have found so far in the whole Portland area.
The place look run of the mill. The menu has so many options it was ridiculous. BUT….this place is why you don’t judge a book by its cover. The server was attentive and friendly, the chicken was charbroiled perfectly but the winner were the tortillas. Home freaking made. And you can tell!! So good that I will definitely be back.
We were hopeful when we went into the restaurant. the scenery was redone and decent. the food was not up to par. the beef ground beef was runny and the shredded beef was not very good. this place needs to shape up before Andres and I go back.
Basking in Beaverton. Having never spent any time in Beaverton before (we were in the area to look at a car) I had to put the ‘spoon to work, see what was both close to us and well regarded. This place came up and neither of us can say no to Mexican so there you go. We were greeted and seated quickly, menus revealed that they were a bit pricey ($13ish with no lunch specials) but what are you gonna do? I went with their Super Burrito w/ Carne Asada, while the Seora got a combo plate w/ a Chicken Enchilada and Tostada, served with Beans and Rice. We snacked on on the complimentary Chips & Salsa (and Bean Dip!) and had a nice chuckle over the ‘Go Team, Go’ dialog of what were obviously company lunches going on at the tables around us. Then our sizzlin hot plates arrived. I wasnt expecting much but my expectations were easily surpassed. It was actually quite good. The Carne Asada was juicy and of a good quality and the rest of my plate was along the same lines. With the exception of her Enchilada, which failed on all levels (lousy sauce, dry chicken, bunk tortilla) the wife was pleased with what was put before her. We were in a bind. We couldve ended up eating some junk. Instead we had a meal that got it done. Would I ever make the drive from Portland to come back? No, but if you find yourself in similar circumstances, or live in this community of chain restaurants, I imagine you could do a lot worse.Grade: C (the decor and feel of the place is well done, even if they are a chain) drexlermcstyles.tumblr.com
Large group of 9. Service was fine. Food was mostly very good with a couple of misses. Fajitas were on the good side. Misses included the relleno and the chorizo burrito. Overall a positive experience.
Delicious Mexican Food!. Great service, delicious entrees and priced reasonably!! Will go back.
